Effects Of Pandemic Linger At Area Churches

The effects of the pandemic are still being felt in churches across Mercer County. Community Bible Fellowship of Aledo Pastor Matt Ewing says attendance has been down in the past 4 years and youth group attendance has dwindled.

Ewing is a farmer living south of Seaton who recently stepped into the interim pastor position at Community Bible Fellowship of Aledo.

Ewing says one effort to bring more people back to church is a free breakfast. They start serving 30 minutes before the Sunday 10:15 a.m. service.
