His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to hard work were evident in the thriving legacy he left behind.
While we mourn the loss of a beloved father, husband, son, and friend, we also celebrate the rich tapestry of a life well-lived. Douglas Slagel, Sr., will be remembered for his generosity, resilience, and the enduring love he shared with his family. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rosemary; father, Gerald Slagel; children, Douglas H. Slagel, Jr., and Tamara and Wes Fields; stepchildren, Richie Phillips, Shawn Epplin, and Nicholas Epplin; a sister and brother-in-law, Deb and Shawn Parrish; and many nieces and nephews.
