The next win by the Mercer County High School football program would be 600, which factors in the Aledo era, according to high school football historian Kev Varney who compiles the data for a project he calls Project 300. The Aledo numbers date back to 1910. Aledo/Mercer County ranks 35th in the state in total wins for high school football.
