A vehicle strikes a home in the Preemption area and the driver cited for DUI. The mishap occurred Tuesday, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release. The driver, 26-year-old Elizabeth Schriner of Preemption was also issued a notice to appear for resisting a peace officer. She was transported to Unity Point Rock Island for non-life-threatening injuries. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by Ameren Illinois, the Sherrard Fire Department, and Advanced Medical Transport.
