Pauline Luepke – Services 7/16/22

Pauline Luepke, 83 of Aledo, died Monday, July 11, 2022, at Trinity, Bettendorf, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 16, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, with a Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Mary Magdalen Parish, St. Catherine Church, or the charity of your choice. Pauline Susan was born on April 16, 1939, in Plymouth, Indiana to Jay and Eleanor (Tietch) Silveus. She married Darrell Luepke on August 29, 1959, in Bremen, Indiana.

Pauline was a Med-Tech with both Mercer County Hospital and OSF Holy Family Hospital, Monmouth. In her spare time, she was a talented quilter who enjoyed sharing her talents with others. She was founding member of the Mercer County Quilt Guild and a member of the Quad City Quilt Guild, and enjoyed traveling to quilt shows around the country. Pauline was also an active member of St. Catherine’s, where she taught Catechism, was a Eucharistic Minister, was a member of Elizabeth Ministry, and helped with Rhubarb Fest baking. She enjoyed her sisterhood with Beta Sigma Phi and traveling with Darrell. They especially enjoyed their trips to the Holy Land, Rome, and the National Parks out west.

Those left to cherish Pauline’s memory include her husband, Darrell; son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Judi Luepke of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, David and Kristin Luepke, John Luepke and fiancé, Sara Hadidi, and Mari and Robert Houle; a great-grandson, Michael Paul Houle; and a sister, Barbara Silveus of Carmen, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William; sister, Marie; and a daughter, Susan Marie.
