Nadine Liby, 89 of Aledo, died April 28, 2022, at Aledo Healthcare and Rehab. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Norma Nadine Bocox was born on June 30, 1932, in East Galesburg, Illinois to Henry W. and Helen L. (Henry) Bocox. She was previously married to James C. Liby. He preceded her in death.
Nadine was a librarian with the Mercer Carnegie Library, Aledo, and was a beautician while living in New Windsor. She was a member of the Aledo United Methodist Church. She enjoyed an adventure and was always up for a girl’s trip. Nadine enjoyed watching the birds and camping.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Babette Liby of New Windsor; daughter, Melanie Pratt and her son, Sean; grandson, Kevin and Amber Liby; and step-grandson, Benjamin Bruner. She is also survived by her special friends, Anne Rogers, Joan Reynolds, Jodie Andress, and Fran Conrad.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Bocox; nephew, Robert Bocox, Jr.; and step-grandson, Brandon Bruner.
