A Tennessee man has entered a guilty plea in a Mercer County stabbing case. 50 year old Gary Lothridge was placed on 30-months probation and fined $500 Monday in Mercer County Circuit Court. He was also sentenced to 120 days in the Mercer County Jail with 74-days credit for time served. The balance was stayed as long he complies with terms of his probation, which includes a psych evaluation and completing any recommended treatment. Lothridge was charged with Class 3 felonies of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and theft over $500 following a disturbance in Viola where another man was stabbed. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Lothridge had been in custody on $40,000 bond since his arrest in late December. A restitution hearing is set for April 6th.
