The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department Merit Commission seeking applicants for correctional officer and deputy positions. There isn’t an opening now, but a list of eligible candidates is being sought now says Sheriff Dusty Terrill.
Application forms are available at the jail or online at mercercosheriff.org. The application deadline is April 8th with the testing date set for April 25th. Starting salary for correctional officer position is $34,269 and $39,989 for a deputy position.
