A full-time school resource officer will be patrolling Mercer County Jr. High in Joy in the coming school year. Last night, the Mercer County Board signed off on the deal as the Mercer County School District will reimburse the county for the full salary of the position says Mercer County Sheriff Dusty Terrill.
Terrill says the new resource officer should be in place by later this month.
