Plans moving forward to place a memorial at the site of the former Roosevelt Military Academy in Aledo. Mayor Chris Hagloch would like to see it done before former cadets return to town for what may be the last RMA reunion this summer.
RMA’s crumbling Niles Hall and North Barracks were brought down last December. An RMA statue is already located on the lawn of the Mercer County Courthouse—honoring the school’s legacy in Aledo.
