Something just didn’t seem right when a man who said he was Peter Sheehan from Elmhurst, Illinois tried to purchase a high end vehicle at Essig Motors on Wednesday. The alleged Sheehan attempted to purchase a 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat with a sticker price of over $74,000 but Matt Essig didn’t have a good feeling about the deal.
The Aledo police then arrived and arrested a Willie A. Killines who was just about to take possession of the vehicle. Killines was arraigned in Mercer County circuit court today and charged with Forgery, a Class 3 Felony and Fradulent Driver’s License, a Class 4 Felony. He was released on a $20,000 personal recognizance bond and a preliminary hearing date was set for January 8th. It is believed Killines had two other accomplices who were not located following his arrest.
