A number of improvements on the drawing board for Sherrard High School athletic facilities. They include a wood floor for the main gym, new lights at Clifford King Field and a new wrestling room.
Superintendent Alan Boucher says the projects are estimated at around $1-million. He says they would be funded through an interfund loan with the money paid back through proceeds from the school facility tax in Mercer and Rock Island County—which total around $480,000 per year for the Sherrard School District.
