Mercer County Historical Society Continues Lincoln Poster Tradition

Celebrating Abraham Lincoln’s legacy in Mercer County. Winners for the annual Mercer County Historical Society’s Lincoln Poster Contest were recognized over the weekend at the Essley-Noble Museum in Aledo. The theme for this year’s contest was “The most interesting thing I learned about Abraham Lincoln,” says Lincoln enthusiast Michael Zecher.

Two of the winners were Hunter Tapp and Jonathan Doty from Sherrard Elementary.

The event was held Saturday.
