The Aledo City Council exploring extending East Main Street to Illinois Route 94 and improvements to SE 2nd Avenue or “swimming pool road.” The items were discussed at Monday night’s Public Property, Streets and Sidewalks Committee meeting. Also Monday night, city council member Jay Doherty informed the committee that a group is interested in raising funds for a dog park in Aledo.
