The American Red Cross is asking you to donate blood as we get into the summer months. The organization says coming out of the pandemic there is going to be more need, as many cancer patient visits and procedures were forced to delay or cancel early in the pandemic due to the risk of exposure due to COVID-19. But Red Cross spokesman Joe Zydlo says things are getting back to normal and that means they need your help.
Locally, the next American Red Cross blood draw is Tuesday, June 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mercer County VFW. You can schedule an appointment at redcross.org or by calling 800-RED-CROSS.
