Aledo Main Street Looks For Continued Support From City

The Aledo City Council hears from Aledo Main Street. Executive Director Dana Murphy presented to aldermen Monday night. Main Street is seeking its annual $18,000 contribution from the city plus another $20,000 for an economic development program. Mayor Chris Hagloch is in support.

Also Monday night, aldermen supported an Aledo Zoning Board recommendation and turned down a request to rezone the former Aledo Jr. High property from residential to commercial. They did agree to explore the issue in the future if additional information is provided.
And City Administrator Chris Sullivan reported that the city has been reimbursed $76,000 in federal CURES Act money for costs associated with the pandemic. He says additional reimbursement is likely.
