The rezoning of the former Hawthorn Ridge Golf Course gets attention from the Mercer County Zoning Board. Mark Bieri now owns the property and his plans include a campground for the site. He is seeking a zoning change from ag to commercial for the property, but opposition was expressed by four neighbors and an attorney at last night’s meeting. Zoning officer and county administrator Ron Fullerlove says the matter has been tabled as more information is gathered.
The zoning board will meet again on Dec. 17.
