The two firearm deer hunting seasons coming up in Illinois. The first weekend is Nov. 22-24 followed by Dec. 5-8. Last year during the first weekend, Mercer County hunters harvested 618 deer and then brought in 233 during the second weekend for a total harvest of 851.
Last year’s statewide harvest totaled 80,896.
