The Aledo City Council will hear from the community next week on a proposed ordinance to ban beekeeping in town. Seven people are on Monday night’s agenda to speak on the issue. The council earlier this month directed City Attorney Mark Walton to draft an ordinance to ban beekeeping. The first reading of the ordinance is on Monday night’s agenda.
