A local producer happy for a reprieve from the Waters of the U.S. rule or “WOTUS”. President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers to review and redo the regulation. Chad Bell says “WOTUS” would have impacted his land.
Bell hosted Western Illinois Congresswoman Cheri Bustos and a local Farm Bureau delegation at his Viola area farm in the summer of 2015 to bring attention to the issue.
