YMCA Children’s School Gains Emergency Child Care License; Benefits Child Care Needs Of Essential Workers

The Mercer County YMCA Children’s School has been able to meet a need as they requested and received an emergency child care license during this COVID-19 pandemic. The children school’s Lisa Clawson says the action benefits essential workers that need child care.

Even though the Mercer County YMCA remains closed due to the coronavirus threat, Y executive director Sarah Brown says online outreach is still being provided.

Brown says the “Y Winners Ticket Drawing” has been postponed to a later date. If you would like to purchase a $100 ticket, you can mail a check to the YMCA at 401 SW 2nd Avenue, Aledo, IL 61231.
