An IHSA bylaw amendment calling for district scheduling for football by 2024 getting plenty of attention at IHSA town hall meetings this month. The IHSA Legislative Commission will convene on Nov. 27 to determine whether the issue will move to a vote by IHSA member schools, which would take place between Dec. 4-18. A simple majority would determine the outcome of the vote. The IHSA administrator in charge of football, Sam Knox, spoke about the subject with WRMJ last Friday night during 8-man state title game. He said if adopted by membership, the IHSA would be able to put together a district schedule by next fall.
