Verdurette House Hosting Holiday Weekend Event; Property On National Register

The historic Verdurette House near New Boston hosting a Fourth of July weekend event again this year. They had great success with a similar celebration last summer says organizer James DeLap.

The historic farmstead is significant for its architecture. The main house was built 167 years ago by William Drury, an early non-native settler of New Boston, in the Gothic Revival style.
The property was placed on the National Register of Historic Places earlier this year.
Saturday’s event begins at 2 p.m.
