A vector ecologist from the Illinois Natural History Survey, Illinois Medical Entomology Lab visited Mercer County Tuesday and Wednesday to speak to the Mercer County Health Department and conduct a tick drag. Holly Tuten details what she is trying to accomplish in helping fight the spread of Lyme disease.
Tuten says an Illinois Lyme disease task force has been formed.
The information gathered in these tick drags will then be shared with the Illinois Lyme Disease Task Force.
