One driver airlifted to University Hospitals in Iowa City following a head-on collision in lower Rock Island County. It happened on U.S. 67 at the 17,100 block Wednesday afternoon at 3:20 p.m, according to a Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department report. A southbound vehicle crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car. The other driver was taken to UnityPoint West in Rock Island for treatment of injuries. The drivers names have not been released. Rock Island County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by Milan Police, AMT Ambulance, Blackhawk Fire, Sherrard Fire and MedForce.
