Mercer County 4-H members Tyler Barrington and Jack Jungmann served as Honorary Pages for a Day with Senator Chuck Weaver in Springfield on April 10th. The Honorary Page program gives youth an opportunity to participate in the process and to interact with Legislators. Tyler and Jack attended several committee meetings, a discussion on changes to Illinois income tax, and were introduced on the Senate floor. Jack, 14 is an 8th grader at United Jr High School. He is the son of Krystal and Matt Jungmann of Seaton. He is a six year 4-H member of the Kimel 4-H Club where his projects include communications, public speaking, photography, and beef. Tyler, 15, is a sophomore at United High School. He is the son of Kent and Jean Barrington of Alexis. He is an eight year member of Alexis All Stars 4-H Club where his 4-H projects include poultry, vegetable gardening, tractor, and welding.
