Sherrard and Rockridge swept their opponents in posting volleyball wins Thursday night. The Tigers swept Kewanee 25-16, 25-17. The Rockets handled UTHS 25-12, 25-14. In other action, Orion stopped Ridgewood 25-10, 25-16, United swept Rowva-Williamsfield 25-20, 25-13 and Fulton defeated Riverdale 2 games to none.
On the links, Mercer County hosted Rowva-Williamsfield and Princeville at Oak View Country Club. In girls action, Rowva-Williamsfield fired a 216, Mercer County 223, and Princeville 231. Mercer County’s Darby Balmer was the medalist with a 45. In boys play, Mercer County shot a 167, Rowva-Williamsfield 173, and Princeville 200. Mercer County’s Hunter Weeks was the medalist with a 35 on the par 33 course.
In Junior High softball, Mercer County beat Stark County 16-9. In Junior High baseball, Ridgewood topped Galva 9-4.
