Sherrard (2-1) beat Quincy Notre Dame (0-1), 10-0, to begin a weekend road trip with a win Friday.
Holland Anderson earned the win on the mound for the Tigers. He threw five shutout innings, while allowing two hits and striking out six batters. Sherrard pounded out 10 hits in the win. Aidan Terronez was 2-3 with 2 RBI and Sam Crownover went 3-3 at the plate.
The Tigers play two games in Mendon Saturday against Unity and Camp Point Central.
Quincy Notre Dame finished third in Class 2A baseball last season.
