Up to $50,000 in TIF funding being sought for the former Mercer Carnegie Library building. The request is from W.J. Albertson and Perryton LLC. The money will be used to replace the HVAC system, roofing and windows. The TIF funding will be in the form of a forgivable loan, which is on tonight’s Aledo City Council agenda. Albertson acquired the library building from Mercer Township through sealed bid last October. Future plans for the building have not been made public.
