The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department announces another meth arrest. The latest one occurring Saturday. Trevor Shoemaker of New Boston was taken into custody by Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a weapon, fleeing and eluding police and driving while suspended. His arrest followed a complaint of suspended drivers approaching Aledo. A separate driver was also arrested—Chad Huston of New Boston. He was taken into custody for driving while suspended along with several Muscatine County warrants. Both men are being held in the Mercer County Jail awaiting court appearances.
