State Wants To Revoke Violent Sex Offender’s Conditional Discharge

A violent sex offender returns to Mercer County Circuit Court next week.  The Illinois Attorney General’s office wants to revoke the conditional discharge of 46 year old Darin Brock after he was arrested last month in Bloomington, Illinois for battery and disorderly conduct.  The former Keithsburg man was declared sexually violent in May of 2000 and was granted conditional discharge in November of 2008. He is back in custody with the Illinois Department of Human Services with a hearing set for Monday afternoon in Mercer County Circuit Court.  Brock was convicted of sexually assaulting an elderly Joy woman in 1990 and was sentenced to 20 years in prison before being declared sexually violent.
