State and local public health officials are challenging everyone to roll their sleeves up and get a flu shot. The Illinois Department of Public Health is launching a new campaign: “Hashtag Sleeve Up”, asking everyone who gets the vaccine to share it on social media. State public health director Dr. Ngozi Ezike says it’s important to be immunized since we are already fighting the coronavirus.
Locally, the Mercer County Health Department is hosting flu-shot walk-in clinics on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 to 11:45 a.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. Masks will be required to enter the health department.
FirstMed Pharmacy in downtown Aledo is also offering flu vaccines.
