A New Year means a single waste hauler for the City of Aledo. The city council finalized the plan in late November says Mayor Chris Hagloch.
On regular weeks, Jackson Disposal will pick-up garbage on Wednesdays for those living north of Illinois Route 17 and Thursdays for those living south of Illinois Route 17. And all recyclables will be picked up on Wednesdays during normal weeks. But pick-ups will be delayed by one day after a holiday, which is the case this week.
Monthly charges of $13.82 will be added to residents’ City of Aledo utility bills starting January 16th.
