Sherrard School District Opens New Greenhouse

The Sherrard School District hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new high-tech greenhouse facility at the High School Tuesday. The new greenhouse replaces the previous structure with an increased square footage, totaling 2,400 square feet. The previous structure was built in 1994 and was 1,400 square feet.

Sherrard ag educator Bill Hammes says the new greenhouse will provide a lot of upgrades.

The new greenhouse cost approximately $625,000.
