Rural New Boston Man’s Meth Case Continued To Feb. 18

A rural New Boston man’s pre-trial conference has been continued to later this month in a meth case. 52 year old Lester Ward remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $400,000 bond. He was arrested on a Class X felony of methamphetamine delivery charge last month. Ward also faces a Class 3 felony of felon in possession of a firearm. He was taken into custody after Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies, Quad Cities MEG agents and Illinois State Police executed a search warrant at his residence. Ward appeared in court Monday morning with the matter continued to February 18th.
