Roseville Man Identified As Fleeing Suspect Who Crashed Stolen Vehicle Near Keithsburg

A Roseville man has been identified as the person who crashed a car near Keithsburg over the weekend while fleeing from police. He then fled on foot before being apprehended by officers. 22 year old Charles Jacobsen is accused of stealing the vehicle from a Roseville home where he also allegedly stabbed a man, according to a Galesburg Register Mail report. He has been charged with a Class X felony of home invasion along with felony counts of aggravated battery and theft—all filed in Warren County.  Jacobsen is due in court Tuesday and is now in custody at the Mercer County Jail after receiving treatment at an area medical facility for self-inflicted injuries. Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the Warren County Sheriff’s Department with the arrest.
