Rogalski Discusses Staffing Challenges In Rural Health Care

The administrator of Genesis Medical Center Aledo continues to bring attention to issues facing rural health care providers. Ted Rogalski says a key challenge remains staffing. He was speaking on behalf of the Illinois Health and Hospital Association and Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network during Thursday’s National Rural Health Day.

Senator Dick Durbin highlighted rural health care staffing issues during a visit to GMC Aledo last June.
Illinois has 84 small and rural hospitals, which includes 54 critical access hospitals and an annual economic impact of more than $13 billion.
