The Rockridge Rockets and Tremont Turks will need to return today to take care of unfinished business in the Class 2A softball sectional at Edgington. With the game tied 3-3 with two outs and runners on first and second, heavy winds and rains rolled over the diamond forcing the game to be suspended. The game will resume at 4:30 this afternoon and it will be broadcast on WRMJ. The winner will play at Stanford Olympia on Thursday. The Spartans beat Kewanee 7-2 in the other sectional semi-final.
In Class 1A, Rowva-Williamsfield defeated Annawan-Wethersfield 1-0 in 8 innings and Princeville blanked Sterling Newman 1-0.
