The new year started off with rematches in girls basketball action. Rockridge and Monmouth-Roseville met for the second time in a week with the Rockets using a 20-0 run in the second half to pull away for the win. Mercer County and Abingdon-Avon met in the season opener and again on Monday at the Tornados once again picked up the win.
