The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department announcing an arrest in a hit and run crash that occurred near Viola late last week. 56 year old Ralph Dean Hinkamper of Quincy was charged today with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. He will appear in court on March 19th. The two-vehicle accident was reported last Friday on U.S. 67 near Casey’s with one of the vehicles leaving the scene. It resulted in a call for assistance from Mercer County Crime Stoppers, specifically seeking information on a white pick-up truck.
