An Aledo man sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison in a burglary case. 22-year-old Christopher Yowger pleaded guilty to the class 2 felony in January and was sentenced last week in Mercer County Circuit Court. Mercer County State’s Attorney Grace Simpson was seeking a six-year term while Yowger’s attorney was seeking probation.
Yowger was arrested in July of 2020 and the charge was in connection to a break-in at an Aledo shed, according to Simpson.
