The New Windsor Police Department investigating a couple of incidents this week. One involves a shots fired complaint. Numerous surveillance videos were viewed and confirmed 8-to-10 shots were fired early Monday morning, but police have not located any victims or specific damage and have been unable to locate any potential scene where the shots originated from.
In a seperate matter, a burglary was reported Wednesday morning at the New Windsor General Store involving an on-site ATM. The New Windsor Police Department is asking residents with residential security cameras in the area to check for any suspicious behavior or subjects that may be captured on video between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois State Police are assisting the New Windsor Police Department in that case.
