More Lyme Disease Legislation To Be Offered By Swanson

State Rep. Dan Swanson with Lauryn Russell’s familiy.

Local State Rep. Dan Swanson has been at the forefront of Lyme disease legislation in Illinois.  He plans to move forward with another bill this session. His latest effort involves insurance coverage for Lyme disease sufferers.

The Lauryn Russell Lyme Disease Prevention and Protection Law is named after a Mercer County Junior High student. Swanson says the legislation has led to some great awareness on the issue.

Swanson says as for Lauryn and her mother, Jennifer Russell, they continue their advocacy through the organization they formed following Lauryn’s diagnosis, “Spotlight on Lyme QCA”, which can be found online at spotlightonlymeqca.com.
