Remember the man labeled as “Mercer County’s best meth cook”. 25 year old Charles Peacock has now been apprehended in Florida and will be extradited to Mercer County says Sheriff Dusty Terrill.
A $100,000 arrest warrant was issued for Peacock in March of 2017 after he failed to appear for a hearing in Mercer County Circuit Court on a petition to revoke his probation. He had been free on a $50,000 recognizance bond. Peacock was placed on four years’ probation in May of 2016 for violating the terms of his probation in a 2015 meth manufacturing case. The former Andalusia man was originally placed on three years’ probation for the Class 1 felony in February of 2016, but violated the conditions by visiting the co-defendant in the case and also failing to complete a drug evaluation. Mercer County State’s Attorney Meeghan Lee had indicated previously she was seeking up to 12-years in prison for Peacock.
