Mercer County Sweeps Mick Louck Invite

Mercer County won the Mick Louck Invitational in both boys and girls track and field in Aledo Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles finished first on the boys’ side with 149 points, 11 ahead of second-place Monmouth-Roseville (138). Rockridge (73), Orion (63), United (51), Abingdon-Avon (47), and Knoxville (24) rounded out the rest of the field.

Mercer County finished first in the following events: 1600 meters (Mason Coulter), 3200 meters (Jack McKnight), 4×100 (John Baldwin, Jacob Kenney, Tannen Whitehall, Daylen Blaser), 4×200 (Baldwin, Zander Huston, Whitehall, Blaser), 4×400 (Huston, Whitehall, Brody Clark, Baldwin), 4×800 (Josh Struble, Coulter, Brody Clark, Brady McPeek), and triple jump (Blaser).

The Mercer County girls track and field team scored 145 points to take first place. ROWVA-Williamsfield took second place with 98 points. Rockridge (82), Orion (68), Knoxville (57), United (54), Monmouth-Roseville (40), and Abingdon-Avon (3) made up the rest of the field.

The Golden Eagles took first in the following events: 200 meters (Kaitlyn Frieden), 3200 (Emalyn Millar), 300 meter hurdles (Alayna Mitchell), and triple jump (Kyla Blaser).
