A public hearing is scheduled for next week regarding a solid waste and recycling plan update.
The tri-county plan includes Mercer, Warren, and McDonough Counties. The hearing will provide the public with an opportunity to review and comment on the regional solid waste and recycling process, current waste management practices, recycling opportunities, and future goals related to waste management locally.
Mercer County Administrator Al Zwilling says the meeting will take place on Tuesday at the Mercer County Health Department at 4 p.m.
