Mercer County School District Responds To Threat At High School

The Mercer County School District released the following statement to parents Wednesday:
“On Wednesday, October 27 it was reported to the Mercer County High School Office that a student made a threat to other students involving a weapon. After an investigation, involving administration, staff and the School Resource Officer, a student was found to have a toy gun in his bag and had made threatening comments to other students. The student has been removed from campus. There was no immediate threat or danger to students or staff. Since this is a discipline issue, the district is unable to make additional comments about the situation.”
