The Illinois Department of Public Health will provide a temporary, drive-through COVID-19 testing site in Mercer County from Monday, August 31st– Thursday, September 3rd. It will be held at the Mercer County Health Department, 305 NW 7th Street, Aledo. Testing hours will be 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Participants are asked to enter from NW 4th Avenue on the west side of the parking lot (across from Vashti). Please be patient and understand that there may be busy periods resulting in longer wait times.
Testing will be provided free of charge to Illinois residents, but people are asked to bring an insurance card, if they have it. Having symptoms is not a requirement, the testing is available for any reason.
This testing is being provided through a partnership between Illinois Department of Public Health, Mercer County Health Department, and the Mercer County Office of Emergency Management.
