An exciting week number 5 of high school football found the Mercer County Golden Eagles with 9 touchdowns in their 59 to 7 win over Abingdon/Avon (A-Town). Colby Cox ran for over 350 yards to bring the Golden Eagles to 3 and 1 on the season. Elsewhere, Sherrard fell to Monmouth-Roseville 51-20 and Rockridge rolled over Erie-Prophetstown 51-21.
