Mercer County 4-H members spent their summer preparing and showing their projects for conference judging at the Mercer County Fair in July. They got to showcase their knowledge to judges in hundreds of different areas in general projects like sewing, robotics, photography, horticulture, cooking, visual arts and more, as well as in livestock, poultry, rabbits and horse and dog shows with the opportunity to advance to the State Fair.
Several members from Mercer County received special state awards, they were: Champion: Jack Jungmann for Photo Editing; Reserve Champions: Colby Cox for Woodworking 3, Ainsley Groth for Short Story or Narrative, Jonah Hays for Aerospace Display, Katheryne Jungmann for Chalk/Carbon/Pigment Div. B, and Abigail Struble for STEAM Clothing/Sewn- non cloth; The Inspire Award went to Ella Bernhardt for Photography 3.
